Welcome to the next phase of parenting. At Phase2Parenting, you'll find local Boston and surrounding neighborhood resources, along with information and articles for raising tweens and teens from 8 to 18.

Our community of writers is made up of experts and professionals, along with moms and dads going through this stage of parenting now. Our articles focus on how to help your tweens and teens navigate real life situations as they grow and mature, along with advice for you as a parent on how to deal with these situations as they arise. We’ll cover everything from technology, social media, sex-ed, bullying/peer pressure, family life, school-related topics and more.

Phase2Parenting was created by two Boston moms that were looking for go-to resources for their growing kids after they got out of that baby/toddler/preschool phase. With children growing up in today's digital world, everything they thought they knew about the teen years seemed to be turned on its head. Where was the best way to find that information? Scouring the internet was confusing and chaotic – the information was out there, but the search to find trusted resources and helpful, usable information was very time consuming.

Holly Irgens and Melissa Peikin, Co-Founders of Phase2Parenting are friends, sister-in-laws, moms, wives, writers, coffee and wine lovers and creators. Juggling careers, families, friendships and everything in between, they've spent the past year (plus) developing Phase2Parenting to help themselves and other parents navigate this new stage of parenting life. We hope this website will be a place for moms and dads to connect, learn, and find helpful resources they need to navigate today's changing landscape of parenting teendom.
